Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Vendor Management, ensure vendors are contracted properly-assess quality of inspections, work with new vendors and adequately train when appropriate; identify areas where the company may alleviate costs, manage existing loss control vendor relationships
Recruit, develop, and lead a staff of loss control professionals that are responsible for conducting loss control surveys (recognizing uncontrolled property and liability hazards) and making recommendations to minimize or eliminate losses,
Identify and evaluate industry trends; proactively developing strategies to improve profitability and retention
Drive, develop, and maintain quality assurance and training programs, work closely with field personnel, leadership, underwriters, claims department, actuarial, developing successful risk management techniques
Assess potential onsite hazards trip / falls, train and make recommendations
Attend industry seminars when applicable
The most qualified candidate will possess the below qualifications and attributes:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry work experience, required
Ten years’ in commercial and / or agriculture loss control industry, strongly preferred or at minimum, have direct work experience within Property Casualty Loss Control (Worker’s Compensation, Auto, General Liability focus areas)
Five years’ management level work experience preferred
Applicable industry designations desired
Ability to effectively communicate with industry partners
Direct experience with corporate-level projects desired
Ability to travel
