The role of the Assistant Scientist, Manufacturing Science & Technology requires knowledge and understanding on scientific concepts, practices, and procedures within the biopharmaceutical field and a cGMP environment. The primary responsibility includes conducting routine and some advanced laboratory work. The candidate in this role will assist with oversight and hands-on execution of technical studies. This position will further assist in study/report writing and data analysis. Expected to work independently and as part of a team, with general oversight from scientists/engineers, but will report directly to supervisor. This position may require work on week-ends and nights.

Education, Experience & Skills
• A Bachelors or Master’s Degree in a scientific discipline with a minimum of 0 - 2 years’ experience
• Strong understanding of GMP, GLP, and GDP standards including good documentation practices
• Strong technical and communication skills: oral/written and listening
• Personal Competencies: Self-awareness, Integrity, Team player, Creative, and Flexible
• Proficiency in Computer programs such as MS Office, JMP statistical software, Visio
Type/keyboard, visual acuity, good eye/hand coordination, stand, walk, sit, twist/turn, climb, reach outward, reach above shoulder, hand dexterity, bend, squat/kneel, sense of feel, sense of hearing, sense of smell, lift/carry 25 lbs, and pull 10 lbs. Use phone, fax, copier, computer, and hand tools. Organize/coordinate, analyze/interpret, problem solve, make decisions, plan, communicate, prepare written communications, and prepare transaction documents. Work in multiple locations and with restricted access.
