The incumbent will collaborate with and support the Investor Relations Officer in developing and executing the company's global investor relations program. The primary objective of this program is to educate and update investors and security analysts about the company in order to achieve and maintain a fair valuation for the company's securities and to build relationships that will support favorable access to capital markets.


Critical Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the VP-IR on the development of the Investor Relations strategic plan and budget.
  2. Create and maintain valuation models based upon published analyst reports, working with internal and external analysts to understand key model drivers and align valuations and forecasts.
  3. Direct the creation of and maintenance of the Investor Relations website.
  4. Create stock trend analyses and peer analyses using web-based tools, for presentation to management and the Board of Directors by the Investor Relations Officer.
  5. Support strategic integrated communications, including drafting and editing of SEC filings, preparing and organizing of the corporate fact book, earnings releases, scripts, Q&A, corporate/investor presentations and Investor Relations website materials.
  6. Collaborate with Corporate Communications, Marketing Communications, Financial Reporting, Treasury and Legal to create favorable disclosures and consistent and accurate communications to all constituents.
  7. Maintain the disclosure record for the company.
  8. Serve as the primary user of the company's capital markets database and intelligence systems, in order to support investor tracking and prospecting.
  9. Support the Investor Relations Officer and participate in investor meetings, phone calls and meetings with investors, maintaining personal responsibility for retail investor responses and programs.
  10. Implement the corporate Investor Relations plan, including conferences, investor days, financial media efforts and investor targeting.
  11. Develop and maintain periodic feedback reports on company security performance for executive management and the Board of Directors.


Important Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate activities with the transfer agent, administering shareholder services as required
  2. Handle logistics and administration of earnings calls, investor conference preparations and fulfillment.
  3. Coordinate/collaborate with the company's external Investor Relations counsel.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in an applicable field -- MBA preferred -- with at least five to seven years of general accounting, finance or treasury experience (or communications experience w/MBA); three to five years of Investor Relations experience preferred.
  • Must have a clear and thorough understanding of the financial modeling techniques used by security analysts, along with outstanding financial and investment analysis skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills and oral presentation ability required, as well as the ability to forge successful relationships with key internal and external partners.
  • Prior experience in telecommunications, especially in satellite telecommunications, a plus.
